BANK OF AFRICA proposes the Letter of Guarantee in favour of the carrier in the event that imported goods arrive safe and sound, even if the transport document (bill of lading), which is necessary for its collection, is not in the importer's possession. BANK OF AFRICA then issues the importer a Letter of Guarantee in favour of the transport company, which allows him to have his goods at his disposal without waiting for the arrival of the transport document.
